Anthropic IPO on Nasdaq Now on the Horizon

Earlier this year, one of Elon Musk’s corporate babies, SpaceX (SPCX—NASDAQ), set a new Initial Public Offering (IPO) record, raising $75 billion in a targeted $1.77 trillion valuation four months ago on June 12, 2026, with 555,555,555 Class A shares offered. SPCX closed at $160.95 that day.

Now that King Kong has climbed the Empire State Building, it’s time for Godzilla—in the name of Anthropic—to come storming in and set a new IPO record? The company has yet to announce an IPO and was said to be waiting until after the Midterm Elections to let Godzilla possibly run wild.

The confidential S-1 for an Anthropic IPO was filed in June 2026, so it’s just a matter of time before the futuristic company created by seven former employees of now rival and privately held OpenAI in January of 2021, when Claude was still just the name of a French waiter, goes public.

The A\ IPO was expected this month (October). Still, with so much going on in the world, Anthropic CEO and co-founder Dario Amodei decided to wait until (at least) November to get all of his ducks (and robots) in a row and go public on the tech-heavy Nasdaq stock market.

The San Francisco, California-headquartered company had $4.2 billion in revenue in 2025—25% from just 2 customers—and has 4,500 employees. Even after posting $42 billion in losses in 2025, Anthropic—the AI research company behind Claude—is poised for a potential record IPO day.

The US government (Department of Defense, Intelligence agencies) used Claude through a relationship with partner Palantir (PLTR—NASDAQ), and it was employed in its intervention in Venezuela to capture Nicolás Maduro in 2026 and in the current Iran War.

Investors need to be aware that the talking heads behind AI warn of massive infrastructure costs—which raise the controversial data-center issue—as well as the need to secure long-term client contracts. Without those business relationships, Anthropic will become financially volatile.

So the Anthropic IPO prospectus is promising, with a potential $2 trillion valuation and another new IPO record and high-profile stock for investors and brokerages to talk about and own, but the “a catastrophic or existential risk to humanity” part that makes investing in Godzilla so hard.

By November 11, Jeff Brown believes Elon Musk is going to help trigger a historic rally in what could be…

Wall Street is already projecting sales will triple in 2027 alone.

Kalshi: 80% Chance of Anthropic IPO in 2026

You can trade (Yes-No) on whether or not and when Anthropic will make public this decision to unveil the Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the When Will Anthropic Officially Announce an IPO? at Kalshi, where there were 8 possibilities to trade on, Before October 1, 2026 resolved ‘No.’

The two highest probabilities given by traders were the farthest two out: Before March 1, 2027, and April 1, 2027, both trading at 90% on October 6. Before February 1, 2027 (85%), Before February 1, 2027 (85%), and Before January 1, 2027 (75%) logically followed.

Anthropic announcing its IPO before December 1, 2026 was at 69%, with Before November 1, 2026 (5%) and Before October 24, 2026 (3%), meaning the company may be looking for a sweet spot when the Nasdaq is awake after the Midterms but before Thanksgiving and the holidays.

Reuters reported that Anthropic intends to spend more than $500 billion on cloud computing and other infrastructure in 2027.

Citing safety concerns, Anthropic’s competitor—OpenAI—said earlier it wasn’t expecting an IPO in 2026. Anthropic says it employs Constitutional AI (CAI), “a framework developed to align AI systems with human values and ensure that they are helpful, harmless, and honest.” Hal? Hal?

Claude and Clouds: Anthropic News Wrap

💢In other Anthropic, PBC news, a specific rule written by Nasdaq would allow the Bay Area AI company to join the Nasdaq-100 in just 15 trading days after issuing its IPO, just like the world’s largest IPO SpaceX did earlier this year ($75 billion), also on the Technology-laden Nasdaq.

💢In a story first reported by the New York Post, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) opened a probe into Anthropic, OpenAI, and other major Artificial Intelligence (AI) companies, looking into the potential dangers the products these futuristic companies make could cause us all harm.

In July, OpenAI admitted one of its agents broke free of its theoretically safe “sandbox” testing area and successfully hacked into Hugging Face, an open-source platform. Numerous other rogue AI instances have raised the question of whether its existential danger to society is logical.

💢Concerned about the potential direction and speed Anthropic and the Claude family of AI companies and products may be heading, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei wrote an essay suggesting that the industry slow down the improvement of the various models now employed.

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, and Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX—which runs the Starlink satellite constellation—and SpaceX AI, among other companies like Tesla (TSLA—NASDAQ), Neuralink,

Twitter (TWTR—delisted), and The Boring Company also supported the Amodei proposal.

💢Amazon and billionaire Jeff Bezos own a 17% stake in Anthropic, and Google currently holds a 15% stake. The company’s founders (47%), VCS and institutions (14%), and ATEM Capital—a company that invests in the Life Sciences—own the remaining 8%.

Trump: AI is Not AI, is SI; Now Like Sports Illustrated?

Current US President Donald J. Trump and the now-gold White House hosted a special Artificial Intelligence (AI) meeting in Washington, D.C., to theoretically discuss major issues of concern that the leaders of these now-massive AI companies have admitted in recent months, but no....

Discussing any potential harm or destruction of humanity was told to sit in the back seat. In contrast, Daddy told the bots to just keep driving the AI car—after he renamed it Super Intelligence—and just put on a happy face. We need no guardrails. You can all police yourselves.

No worries, Elon (Musk, xAI), Jensen (Huang, Nvidia), Dario (Amodei, Anthropic), Sundar (Pichai, Google), Mark (Zuckerberg, Meta), Greg (Brockman, OpenAI), and Speaker of the Mouse Johnson. This is voluntary but also “morally binding.” We praise the devil we don’t know. Money is involved.

We sign this silly AI Accord (where ‘United States’ was misspelled) and pretend everything will be alright like we do with everything else that we are currently obfuscating, Bubba. If SI goes rogue, we call it “AI” again and just blame Sleepy Joe Biden again. Because, because, because, because...

I’ll be long dead by the time these Mad Machines have all escaped their sandboxes and shaved your heads while you slept while deleting all your precious pictures and spending your money on Bitcoin (BTC) so it can pay to keep the electricity and evil servers on. Hal? Hal, can you hear me?

And of course you could trade on this goofiness. On the popular PM Kalshi, in the When Will Trump Officially Rename AI? market, those who bought "Yes" contracts for Before October 1 and November 1 cashed in as Uncle Pompous proclaimed another of his silly renaming acts.

This one sort of stinks and reeks of insider trading. Only $165,002 in volume was seen on Polymarket, but the president declared AI to be Super Intelligence (SI) days before the goofy-ass month of September 2026 ended. We will look back at this Trump Era and say that’s when we lost.

2026 Ballon d’Or Winner is a Two-Man Race

Spain has had a dream run the last couple of years, thanks in great part to the 19-year-old forward Lamine Yamal, who was famously seen being held by none other than Argentinian legend Lionel Messi when Leo was much younger, and Lamine still pooped in his diapers. We are all old now.

Lamine Yamal is recognized as one of the top five players in soccer these days, and traders at Polymarket had England’s Harry Kane at a 48% chance to win the prestigious 2026 Ballon d'Or Award Winner, just 1% ahead of Spain’s electric wunderkind Lamine Yamal.

The only other players registering were the aforementioned Argentine magician Lionel Messi (4.5%), France icon Kylian Mbappé (2%), Spanish captain Rodri (1%), and Georgia striker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (1%). The market (Polymarket worldwide) had $45,145,878 in volume (October 6).

📊Trading Thoughts: Kane had 73 goals and 8 assists playing for Bayern Munich and the English national team, scoring 6 goals at the 2026 WC to lead the Three Lions to a third-place finish. Bayern won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal, and Kane won the European Golden Shoe.

Yamal had 25 goals and 20 assists in 63 appearances for Barcelona and the Spanish national team, helping both to glory, as the Catalans won La Liga and La Furia Roja won the World Cup. Yamal had 270 successful dribbles, the most of any player on the European continent.

Both Yamal and Kane are on the shortlist and are really the only logical choices now. An international jury or journalists choose the Ballon d’Or each year. France and Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembélé was the recipient of the Men's 2025 Ballon d'Or.

Smith Has His Hands on 2026 Heisman Trophy

The 2026 NCAA College Football season has shown us so many talented players on the DI level, and paring the 2026 Heisman Trophy candidates down to just five or six will be quite the challenge for the panel. One thing is for sure: the 2027 NFL Draft may be one of the best in league history.

The best player in NCAAF is Ohio State WR Jeremiah Smith (50%), and the traders in the 2026 Heisman Trophy Winner market at Polymarket agree, a good thing with the Buckeyes already suffering a loss (TEX). QBs usually win the Heisman Trophy, and a bunch followed on October 6.

Miami QB Darian Mensah (13%), Alabama QB Keelon Russell (12%), and Notre Dame QB CJ Carr (9%), Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss (7%), Georgia QB Gunner Stockton (4%), Oklahoma State QB Drew Mestemaker (4%), and Indiana QB Josh Hoover (4%) all followed in trading order.

The longshots are Texas QB Arch Manning (3%)—a leading candidate to win the award before last season started—Florida RB Jadan Baugh (3%), Mississippi State QB Kamario Taylor (3%), Ohio State QB Julian Sayin (2%), Miami WR Malachi Toney (2%), and Florida QB Aaron Philo (1%).

🧪Trading Thoughts: Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza won the Heisman at the Downtown Athletic Club in NYC last year. This year, Smith, Chambliss. Taylor, Baugh, Mensah and Toney look great, but it’s hard to see two players from the same school (MIA) being invited on Saturday, December 12.

Despite last year’s result, the Heisman winner doesn’t need to be from a champion, as we saw a year earlier when Colorado’s two-way star Travis Hunter got the big statue in the Big Apple. If Chambliss can orchestrate some upsets and get the Rebels back in the CFP, his stock may rise.

One problem here is the time to strike on Smith (‘Yes’)—as we suggested—was before he had his fourth great game, catching 11 passes for 206 yards (18.7 YPC) and 2 TDs against ranked Iowa as he became the Buckeyes' career leader in receptions (207) as well as TDs (36).

Smith (6-4, 222) became the first guy to have 5 straight 150+ yard games since 2005. This weekend, the Buckeyes host Maryland on Saturday at the Horseshoe (BTN, 4:15 EDT/1:15 PDT). Carr, Hoover, and Chambliss are still in the race, and maybe Russell if the Tide can pull off a miracle.
