Dream, Valkyries Meet in 2026 WNBA Finals
It’s been a wacky 2026 WNBA Playoffs, with the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx bounced in the opening round by the OG New York Liberty and a new team, the Golden State Valkyries, knocking off the defending champ Las Vegas Aces in the Semis to earn their first-ever WNBA Finals trip.
The upstart Atlanta Dream showed the Liberty the offseason door in their Semifinals series to set up this unpredictable 2026 WNBA Finals matchup, which starts with Atlanta at Golden State at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Saturday (NBC, Peacock, Fubo, 3:30 ET/2:30 CT/12:30 PT).
The Dream (30-14, 15-7 at Home) added human rebounding machine Angel Reese (12.1 RPG) to a lineup that already had G Rhyne Howard (19.0 PPG), G Jordin Canada (18.0 PPG), G Alisha Gray (17.0 PPG), and F DeWanna Bonner (14.3 PPG, 5.0 RPG). Now, they are in the WNBA Finals.

Where will the Dream play their home games? Atlanta finally made it to the WNBA Finals only to find its home stadium—State Farm Arena—already booked with a concert on October 22 (Sombr) and two Atlanta Hawks regular-season games on October 24 and October 29.
That means playing in the Gateway Center Arena (capacity 3,500) in College Park, Georgia. At this site, the Dream played all its home games, and it may be an advantage for the home team with so few tickets and seats available for traveling Valkyries faithful, if they actually exist.
Atlanta has been to three WNBA Finals but is still looking for its first win in a game (0-9), having been swept by the Lynx twice (2010, 2013) and the Storm (2013). GS just entered the league a season ago and will be playing in its first WNBA Finals, so this is history no matter how you slice it.

2026 WNBA Finals Preview and Pick
Hey girl hey, the 2026 WNBA Finals are here, but unfortunately for the league, the best Saturday of the 2026 NCAAF Regular Season, which will be going from dawn to way past dusk until the vampires start to roam the colder October nights.
In Kalshi's 2026 WNBA Champion exchange, Golden State is the slight favorite (53%) over Atlanta (49%) in this season-long Futures market, which had $8,349,638 in volume on October 14.
2026 WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson and Las Vegas won the WNBA title last season while Minnesota had the best record in the Regular Season (33-11)—the Valkyries were a game behind at 32-12—and were the opening favorites. Still, both will sit home and watch after being eliminated.
The opener and Game 1 in this best-of-7 series comes on Saturday afternoon when Rhyne Howard, Reese and the Dream visit Gabby Williams, Kiah Stokes and the Valkyries at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California (NBC, Peacock, 3:30 EDT/2:30 CDT/1:30 MDT/12:30 PDT).

In the WNBA Finals Game 1: Dream vs. Valkyries winner market at Kalshi, Golden State (57%) is the choice over Atlanta (43%), with the Point Spread at (GS minus) 1.5 (Yes 58¢, No 43¢) and the Total (points) at 155.5. The Valkyries Team Total was 77.5 with the Dream Team Total at 75.5.
🍞Trading Thoughts: These two teams deserve to be here, and this should be one of the best WNBA Finals in recent memory with both teams on the rise and with rosters packed with young talent. One problem here for Atlanta is it will be without leading scorer Allisha Gray (19.2 PPG).
But the Dream (30-14, 15-7 Away) will still have a solid starting 5 with C Howard, F’s Dewanna Bonner, Naz Hillman and rebound-machine Reece (16.4 PPG, 12.1 RPG), and electric G Jordin Canada, who has been absolutely brilliant in the Playoffs in wins over the Mystics and Liberty.
Golden State (32-12, 17-5 at Home) has been amazing in its second season in the W, with the Valkyries having the league’s best defense (99.3 DRTG), making the most 3-pointers per game (10.6), and being the slowest and most methodical on every valuable possession (75.44 pace rate).

The Valkyries starting 5 is UConn product and rim-guard C Stokes (6-3), F’s Williams (14.4 PPG) and Kayla Thornton, and G’s Veronica Burton (12.2 PPG, 5.7 APG) and Cecilia Zandalasini. The GS bench is an edge with Janelle Salaun (12.7 RPG), Tiffany Hayes, Kaila Charles and Kaitlyn Chen.
Atlanta heads in here on a 10-game win streak while GS has won 12 of 14. In the three regular-season meetings, the Valkyries swept the Dream (77-66, 76-75, 88-83) in three close summer games, the first two at the Chase Center and the third in Atlanta at the Gateway Center.
So, the Dream—without Gray—have never won a WNBA Finals game (0-9), are on the road in Game 1 vs. a team they lost to all 3 times this season, and the team that plays the best defense in the WNBA and has the much stronger bench? Where do I sign up? Can cats play in the WNBA?
🏀2026 WNBA Finals Game 1 Winner Point Spread Pick: Golden State Valkyries -1.5
🏀2026 WNBA Finals Series Winner Pick: Golden State Valkyries, Yes 53¢
You Can See Everything Rotten Tomatoes Score
The much-anticipated documentary You Can See Everything by directors Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim will make its big-screen premiere today (Friday, October 20) in the revealing story of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and the strange twists that followed after filming started.
Holmes founded Theranos in 2003 and claimed it was revolutionizing blood testing using smaller samples, like a fingerprick. The company raised hundreds of millions before the walls caved in on Theranos in 2015 after some regulatory investigations.
In 2018, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) charged the company and Holmes with deceiving investors for “massive fraud.” In November of 2022, Holmes was sentenced to over 11 years in prison. She’s at the minimum-security Federal Prison Camp (FOPC) in Bryan, Texas.

After Elizabeth Holmes's trial (2021-2022), director Fielder visited Holmes to document the days leading up to her imprisonment, and what ensued was cinematic brilliance. You Can See Everything has a 54% chance of being nominated for the 2027 Best Picture award at the Oscars.
Also at Polymarket, you can trade on You Can See Everything's Rotten Tomatoes Score. Early numbers showed expectations of extremely high scores for the 2026 American documentary, which should also have a long shelf life given the riveting story and film.
Florida at #7 Texas is a Must-Win for Gators...
Saturday has an embarrassment of riches on the NCAAF Week 7 schedule, including an SEC showdown between #7 Texas (4-0, 1-1 in SEC) and RB Jaden Baugh and Florida (4-1, 2-2 in SEC) at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium (FieldTurf) in Austin, Texas (ABC, 12 EDT/11 CDT/9 PDT).
In Week 6, WR Cam Coleman and the Longhorns were defeated by Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry after topping then-#1 Ohio State in Austin in Week 3 (24-23) and #14 Tennessee in Knoxville in Week 5 (20-17) in two games decided by just four points. Texas fell from #1 to #7.
Florida was jettisoned from the Top 25 after humblings in the Show Me State from Mizzou in Week 5 (45-17) and South Carolina in Week 6, so a loss here would be devastating for the Gators' CFP chances with a date with #1 Georgia looming on the last day of this month (October 31, ABC).

At Kalshi, QB Arch Manning (2% chance to win the 2026 Heisman Trophy, Kalshi) and Texas (78%) are the traders’ choice over QB Aaron Philo and Florida (22%) in the Florida vs. Texas Winner market. The Longhorns can lose and still make the CFP, but losing in Austin is rare.
🍞Trading Thoughts: In the two series meetings since Missouri joined the Southeastern Conference (SEC) from the Big 12, both schools have won and covered ATS at home, with Texas winning, 49-17 (TEX-22.5) in 2024 and Florida upsetting Texas, 29-21 in the Swamp (TEX -5.5).
The Over went 2-0-0 in those and is 7-3-0 in the Gators' last 10 games heading into SC, with Florida playing 3 straight Overs and 5 straight Overs on the Road dating back to last season. The Gators were #5 in Scoring Offense (46.2 PPG) but Tied at #104 in Scoring Defense (27.2 PPG).
🏈NCAAF Week 7 Saturday Totals Pick: Florida-Texas Over 51.5, Yes 51¢
#13 Mizzou at # 9 Ole Miss in Week 7 on Saturday
Also in the same time slot as Alabama-Tennessee, another SEC Conference slugfest between #14 Missouri (5-1, 2-1 in SEC) and #9 Ole Miss (4-1, 2-1 in SEC) at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium (Grass) in Oxford, Mississippi on Saturday afternoon (SEC Network, 3:30 EDT/2:30 CDT/12:30 PDT).
Ole Miss (35.5 PPG) is led by Heisman Trophy candidate and QB Trinidad Chambliss and star RB Kewan Lacy, while Missouri (37.6 PPG) is led by QB Austin Simmons and RB Jamal Roberts, and the Tigers are still waiting on the return of RB Ahmad Hardy, who is waiting to be cleared to practice.
At Polymarket US in the Missouri vs Ole Miss Winner offering, traders are backing host Ole Miss (66%) over Missouri (34%), who jumped into the Top 25 after disposing of Florida at Columbia in Week 4. The Point Spread was Ole Miss -5.5, with the Total (Points) at 58.5 (Yes 52%, No 51%).

🍞Trading Thoughts: In the 4 series meetings Mizzou (2006-2019), the Tigers are an unbeaten 4-0 SU vs. the Rebels and 3-1-0 ATS, winning two meetings when Missouri still called the Big 12 Conference home and the two since joining the SEC in 2011. None of those numbers matter here.
Missouri is 12-17 on the road since 2020, while Mississippi is 41-9 at Vaught-Hemingway this decade, with life in the program. Defense may rule the day at The Vaught, and if so, LB Nicholas Rodriguez and Mizzou (17.7 PPG, #29) are better than the host Rebels (28.0 PPG, T-#108).
🏈NCAAF Week 7 Saturday Side Pick: Mississippi to win by over 6.5 points, No 54¢
NASCAR Chase Resumes on Sunday in Phoenix
The Chase continues in the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs with the Freeway Insurance 500 from the Phoenix Raceway (Asphalt) in the Phoenix suburb of Avondale, Arizona, on Sunday afternoon (TV—USA, HBO Max, RADIO—SiriusXM, MRN, 3:30 EDT/2:30 CDT/12:30 PDT).
Last year at the dogleg oval in the 312-lap and 312-mile race in the Sonoran Desert, it was Ryan Blaney (Team Penske) and his Ford who won the event after Christoper Bell won back-to-back times in 2024 and 2025 in his trusty Toyota. Chevrolet has won this Arizona race 12 times.

At Kalshi, traders like Kyle Larson (47%) to win the NASCAR Cup Series Championship over Denny Hamlin (24%) and Christopher Bell (13%) with four races remaining in the season. Next week, the circuit is at Talladega Superspeedway for the YellaWood 500 on Sunday, October 25.
🍞Trading Thoughts: This is a stock car crapshoot, and in the bigger picture, all Larson needs to do is finish in a respectable position and protect his lead. Hamlin, Bell, and Logano will have to win a couple and have Larson struggle. Expect him to play it safe.
🏁NASCAR Cup Series Champion Winner Pick: Kyle Larson, Yes 47¢

Cowboys at Packers on Sunday Night Football
Two of the NFL’s most storied franchises, the Dallas Cowboys (2-3, 1-1 on the road) and the Green Bay Packers (3-2,1-1 at Home) meet in an NFL Week 6 NFC tussle from Lambeau Field (Grass) in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Sunday Night Football (NBC, 8:20 EDT/7:20 CDT/6:20 MDT/5:20 PDT).
QB Dak Prescott, WR CeeDee Lamb, and Dallas have been impressive on offense (30.5 PPG, #2). Still, it’s the Cowboys defense (28.0 PPG, #28) that is hurting America’s Team despite bringing in Edge Rashan Gary (GB), and LB Joey Porter, Jr. (PIT) and drafting OSU S Caleb Downs (#11).
And now? The Cowgirls Cheerleaders still play better defense than this expensive group, which allowed a franchise-record number of points in 2025 and ranked #30 in Total D. Former spearhead and LB Micah Parsons now tackles for the Cheeseheads but is injured and awaiting return.
At Kalshi in the Cowboys vs. Packers exchange, it’s QB Jordan Love and the Packers (52%) who are the choice to win over the Cowboys (48%). Online sportsbook DraftKings had Green Bay as 3-point chalk with the Total up 3 points and sitting at 53.5 (Moneyline: GB -122, DAL +102).

🍞Trading Thoughts: Bread never butters itself, so humans still are necessary. You can read and think, whereas machines pretend to read and then process words. This unique ability, logic, and use of common sense will always give you a huge edge over any machine that concludes too fast.
Is AI handicapping sports now? Good luck with that, Bubba. Humans play sports, and every night we see how unpredictable all of these events can be. Show me a machine that predicted the Dream and Valkyries playing in the WNBA Finals and I’ll show you a lying machine.
What does this all have to do with this game? Everything, if you think. The Packers fans booed their boys, the Cowboys can’t play D, the game is at night when it’s cold (44.4 F°), and Dak will throw to CeeDee every 4 seconds. So words can also matter. The numbers? Get a drink; you may need one.
Heading into Week 5, the Cowboys had played 10 straight Overs—Week 6 was an Under—dating back to last season, while the last 5 in this series have also gone Over the Total (65, 68, 56, 69 {OT}, 80, and 80 (40-40 tie last year) again. That’s 69.7 PPG and an average of 80 PPG the last two.
All three games with closing Totals of 53.5 and more have gone Over this 2026 season.
🏈NFL Week 6 Sunday Night Totals Pick: Cowboys-Packers Over 53.5, Yes 56¢
