The Traitors Predicted to Win 2026 Reality Emmy

TThe Traitors is looking to win the Outstanding Reality/Competition Series category at the 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards held this evening (Monday, September 14) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California (NBC, Peacock, 8 EDT/7 CDT/6 MDT/5 PDT).

Along with CBS’s Survivor and Big Brother, ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, and American Idol, NBC’s The Voice, Peacock’s The Traitors has become a cultural phenomenon in the United Kingdom, the US, Canada, and several others, with the hit now commissioned worldwide in 40 places.

Like Big Brother, The Traitors has its roots in the Netherlands and made its TV debut on March 13, 2021, as De Verraders. The popular U.K. version of The Traitors—given a 91% chance by traders at Polymarket to win the Emmy—made its broadcast debut (BBC One) on November 29, 2022.

The United States version of The Traitors premiered on Peacock on January 12, 2023, with the show airing four seasons here and debuting Season 5 on Wednesday night on NBC. The Traitors: New Blood will be the first all non-celebrity (civilian) edition of the popular reality competition hit.

We can expect a threepeat in this category, with The Traitors winning the Emmys for Outstanding Reality Competition Program in 2024 and 2025, and host Alan Cumming also snagging the Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Show in both 2024 and 2025.

Shot at scenic Ardross Castle in the rural Highland region of Scotland, where Nessie quietly gorges on salmon, this show has also become a popular trade in the prediction markets. In Traitors US: Season 4, $92,072 was traded on Polymarket and $4,232,341 on Kalshi. Rob Rausch won US S4.

We will follow trading on the upcoming season of Traitors US: New Blood here at The Prediction Report with bi-weekly reports until a new winner is crowned. The season will have 12 episodes, with 22 civilians competing for the maximum possible $250,000 cash prize.

Survivor and Big Brother contestant Cirie Fields won Season 1 of The Traitors US as a Traitor; Real World stars C.T. Tamburello and Trishelle Cannatella won S2 and split the pot as Faithfuls, with Dolores Catania, Dylan Efron, Lord Ivar Mountbatten, and Gabby Windey winning S3 as Faithfuls.

The show captured six Emmy Awards before the main primetime show tonight: Host (Alan Cumming), Cinematography, Costumes, Direction, Picture Editing, and Production Design.

Who Will Win The Traitors US: New Blood?

This will be the first-ever all-civilian US version of the popular Reality TV competition, The Traitors US: New Blood. The first two episodes will air on NBC on Thursday (8/8:56 ET/PT), with Peacock hoping to hook you and have you subscribe to its aptly named Peacock streaming service to watch the rest of the season.

The 11 Women who will compete in US Season 5 of The Traitors: New Blood are Abbey Benjamin, Abby Lee, Arisa Thomas, Katie Fites, Kim Daily, Kriste Lewis, Madeline Kostopulos, Morgan Cook, Niyyah Hayes, Sherry Kuehl, and Tomica Adams.

And the 11 everyday American Men playing are Ben McDonnell, Clyde Moser, Jay Vinnedge, Joe Vanella, Logan Smith, Mark Zgoda, Michael Foote, Shane Beatty, Victor Vollbrechthausen, Wyatt Gillespie, and Xavier Scruggs. Scruggs was an MLB player (MIA, STL) and broadcaster.

Trading markets should open for this show in the coming days.

Fed Board to Raise Rates by 25 bps in September?

So far, the U.S. Federal Reserve has decided not to change the benchmark interest rate in 2026, voting 9-3 to leave it unchanged at 3.5% to 3.75% at its last meeting on Wednesday, July 29, in Washington, D.C.

At that meeting, three of the Fed’s 12 board members (Beth Hammack, Neel Kashkari, Lorie Logan) all voted for a 25bps rate increase. If you listen closely to President Trump, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and the PMT masses, it seems they all see or want a rate hike.

The next Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meets this week on Tuesday and Wednesday (September 15-16, 2 EDT/11 CDT/11 PDT), where it will discuss the Summary of Economic Projections (SEP) and vote on the key rate everyone watches.

At Polymarket in the Fed Decision in September?, traders were leaning to The Fed raising voting for a 25 bps increase (78%), with No Change (21%) the second most popular choice again, followed by 50+ bps increase (1%), 50+ bps decrease (<1%), and 25 bps decrease (<1%).

So this is a Sophie’s Choice: do they move or do they not move, and it’s safe to say Hammack, Kashkari, and Logan will all be voting for an increase again, meaning the nine need just 2 to flip (to a hike) to have (at least) a 5-4 advantage and to move the magic number.

Last time out, new Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh said that there was no real reason to raise interest rates back then, contending that the bond market had effectively solved that problem for the board.

Now, needing to stabilize prices and bring inflation (CPI 3.5%) below the Fed’s 2% goal, there is still much work to be done, which is why Trump (and others) cry for a hike on Thursday at 2 p.m. EDT. Conventional wisdom says the board must act now to stop any fear fires from spreading.

The Federal Reserve will still have two meetings left this year: in October (October 27-28) and December (December 8-9). You can trade on the results of those two future FOMC meetings at Robinhood Predictions.

Kalshi, Polymarket Sign Tennis Deals

As the last major of the 2026 tennis season, the 2026 US Open, was underway, both Kalshi and Polymarket unveiled deals involving the sport.

Kalshi reportedly signed a multi-year deal with the United States Tennis Association (UTSA), the governing body for Tennis in the United States, to be the official prediction market of the U.S. Open. The deal prohibits competition for advertising at the event or on ESPN or its affiliates.

The U.S. Open tournament is held annually at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows—Corona Park, Queens, New York City, New York, relatively close to Kalshi's corporate headquarters in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan in the Big Apple.

Polymarket cut a streaming and data-integrity deal with the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), the global governing body of professional Men’s tennis, and the ATP Tour. The agreement lets Polymarket users watch ATP matches inside the platform’s app.

LeBron James Signs Deal with Polymarket

On Saturday, September 5, NBA superstar LeBron James unveiled a partnership deal with prediction market Polymarket via his Instagram and Twitter (X) accounts. The 41-year-old James just signed to end his career with the Philadelphia 76ers after playing for the Lakers from 2018-2026,

Representatives for King James said the short clip was the start of a larger campaign featuring the NBA’s all-time scoring leader (43,440 points). LBJ played for his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers (twice) and the Miami Heat and won 4 NBA championships (2012, 2013, 2016, 2020).

In early 2024, James inked a multi-year agreement with sportsbook operator DraftKings (DKNG—NASDAQ), but that contract expired earlier this year. James will reportedly focus on promoting football for the popular New York City-based prediction market.

Sexpot Sydney Sweeney Does Ad For Novig

The movie we all live in did what we expected the movie we all live in to do last week, when we saw Sydney Sweeney going to bat for new (yet old) prediction market Novig, which wanted to stress that all they do is Sports and nothing involving Wars, IT, Death Markets, or stolen beer trucks.

Novig CEO Jacob Fortinsky said Sweeney—the curvy blonde star of the now-done HBO hit Euphoria—approached the prediction market whose name is short for “No Vigorish.” Fortinsky said she approached them about some “equity partnership” with Novig, based in New York City.

Polymarket ran a similar ad on social media a week earlier, featuring its partnership with NBA legend LeBron James. Still, a report said the Sweeney Novid ad got 276% more views than Polymarket's ad with LBJ, Emily Ratajkowski, and Alexandria Daddario.

Is the lesson here that titties sell? We giggle together, then we take a short siesta between the warm and soft bosoms of the 28-year-old Spokane, Washington product until the cat sees a dog in his nightmares and swings at us with open claws as if we are the Doberman in the damn dream.

Here is the provocative Novig ad with naked Sydney Sweeney talking about sports, sports, sports:

Braves at Wrigley Field from Monday to Wednesday

Pete Crow-Armstrong and the Chicago Cubs (83-66, 43-31 at Home) welcome Matt Olson and the Atlanta Braves (88-61, 37-35 on Road) to Wrigley Field (Grass) for a three-game series Monday to Wednesday between two teams who will be playing in the NL Playoffs but might not have a bye.

On Tuesday night, the scheduled starting pitchers are RHP Grant Holmes (9-5, 3.62 ERA, 1.31 WHIP) for Milwaukee and LHP Shota Imanaga (9-10, 3.91 ERA, 1.12 WHIP) for Chicago (TNT, MLB.TV, BravesVision, Gray Media, Marquee Sports Network, Fubu, 7:40 ET/6:30 CT/4:40 PT).

At Novig, traders are giving the Braves a 10% chance to win the 2026 World Series, with Alex Bregman and the Cubs at 10%. The two-time defending MLB champions are priced at 35%, with the Brewers (19%), Phillies (10%), and the eliminated Mets (4%), so someone is unwell?

🚦Trading Thoughts: The Cubs are good at the Friendly Confines of Wrigley Field (47-25), and have been seeing and hitting t baseball very well this last half of the summer, putting up some historical numbers, many helped by playing in this iconic baseball museum in the Windy City.

Atlanta has also had a dream season, with guys like Olson (.252/37/80), Michael Harris II (.29424/80), and Ozzie Abies (.254/21/68) starring and others like Austin Riley (15/64), Mauricio Dubon (11/66), Drake Baldwin (22/69), and Mike Yastrzemski (9/34) providing nice depth.

When Ronald Acuna Jr. (.249/14/40) isn’t even in your top five players, you obviously have an embarrassment of riches. The Braves lead the season series, 2-1, in low-scoring games (ATL 5-2, ATL 4-1, CUBS 2-0) played in Atlanta from May 12-14, with an average of just 4.67 RPG (Under 3-0).

⚾MLB Tuesday Night Pick: Braves-Cubs, Under 8.5

2026 Campeones Cup Coming on Wednesday Night

The 2026 Campeones Cup between Lionel Messi and MLS champions Inter Miami CF and Ángel Márquez and Liga MX Campeón de Campeones winners Cruz Azul will be played at Nu Stadium (Grass) in Miami, Florida on Wednesday evening (8 EDT/7 CDT/5 PDT).

Cruz Azul means “Blue Cross,” and represents Mexican concrete company Cooperativa Cementos la Cruz Azul. Got cement? Sorry.

🚦Trading Thoughts: These two met on July 21, 2023, in the 2023 League Cup Group Stage at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with Miami winning 2-1, with Messi netting the game-winner at the 90+4 mark to give the herons the dramatic win in the Sunshine State.

Nicolás Ibáñez (3 goals) and Márquez (3 goals) had good starts in 2026 Mexican Liga BBVA MX play for Cruz Azul, but La Máquina (The Machine) was dead even at 3-0-3 (W-D-L) after six matches.

Here, neither side will want to risk injuries with the regular season still hot and heavy in their respective leagues. Like with the NFL’s Bills (below), the added luster of playing in a new stadium is worth something, and there is a trophy involved and would be Miami’s fourth this year.

⚽2026 Campeones Cup Picks: Inter Miami, Yes, Both Teams To Score, Yes

Lions at Bills, New Digs on Thursday Night Football

The good news is that the Week 2 Thursday Night Football game is a great interconference showdown between the AFC’s Buffalo Bills and the NFC’s Detroit Lions at brand-new Highmark Stadium (Kentucky Bluegrass) in Orchard Park, New York (PRIME, 8:15 EDT/5:15 PDT).

The bad news is that it is only on Prime Video, so the vast majority of NFL fans won’t see this pitcher’s duel between Buffalo’s Josh Allen and Detroit’s Jared Goff. In Week 1, the Bills battled the Texans in Houston, while the Lions faced the Saints in Sunday’s first window of games.

At Kalshi, in this Detroit Lions vs. Buffalo Bills home opener for Buffalo, the Bills (59%) are the traders' choice, with the visiting Lions (41%) the underdogs. At DraftKings, the Bills are favored by 3 points (Moneyline -166, DET +140) with the Total at 52.5 on September 13.

🚦Trading Thoughts: The Bills will want to christen their new gem, Highmark Stadium, with a regular-season win, but with the Lions as opponents and the digs so new, this will probably be a shootout between Allen, RB James Cook, and Goff and his many weapons with Detroit.

The buzz is that besides some crappy obstructed seats at the new stadium, the turf is also a mess and large portions of grass were reportedly being replaced. This doesn’t seem great for skill-position players trying to get good footing. We will see in the first quarter on Thursday night.

Last season, the Bills (12-5, +116 PD) went 7-2 at home and were 3-2 vs. the NFC, but 4 of the games were vs. the lowly NFC South (3-1), while the Lions (9-8, +68 PD) had the same respectable record last season vs. the AFC North.

Lifetime, Buffalo is 8-4-1 vs Detroit with the Bills winning the last 5 straight by the slimmest of all margins and an average of just 3.00 PPG (6-3-1-3-2) with the last two games seeing 143 total points scored (2022-2024, 71.5 PPG) after the previous three saw only 84 points (2010-2018).

The opening of the new stadium, the rushing of Cook III, and new WR D.J. Moore (CHI) give the hosts wonderful versatility. But with WRs Amon St Brown and Jameson Williams and RBs Jahmyr Gibbs and TE Sam LaPorta expected to return, Goff and the Lions can say the same thing.

Wake Forest Welcoming #5 Miami on Friday Night

Heisman Trophy candidates Darian Mensah and Malachi Toney and #5 Miami (2-0) will travel to Winston-Salem, North Carolina to face Wake Forest (2-0) in an ACC Week 3 game from Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium (Field Turf) on Friday night (ESPN, 7:30 EDT/6:30 CDT/4:30 PDT).

In Week 1, Miami won at Stanford, 45-6, in its ACC lidlifter in Miami as Toney had 3 TDs and 234 receiving yards, before the Canes rattled FCS side Florida A&M, 77-7, in Week 2 on Saturday as they amassed 856 Total Yards, picked up 42 First Downs, and scored 11 TDs in Miami Gardens.

Lifetime, the Hurricanes are 9-3 vs. the Demon Deacons, and Miami has won the last 8 series meetings (1969-2024), including the last one, 42-14 on November 23, 2024. At Kalshi, Miami is the heavy favorite (94%) with Wake Forest at 6%. Miami’s been installed as a 23.5-point favorite.

🚦Trading Thoughts: NC transfer QB Gio Lopez had some nice chemistry with WR Carlos Hernandez in Wake Forest’s 38-16 romp over Akron in Week 1 and then edged Big Ten’s Purdue (38-36) in OT at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana, in a nice win for the SEC school.

The Canes (11-5-0 ATS) were a good team for NCAAF bettors last season and look to be better on offense this year, and Miami (30.9 PPG, #49 in 2025) may be a good Over team with QB Mensah, RB Mark Fletcher Jr., and everything-I-do-is electric WR Malachi Toney (845 YAC in 2025, #1 FBS)

Toney (5-11, 188) forced 45 missed tackles for an additional 300 yards for Miami last year and didn’t get any slower (4.5 40-yard dash) in the offseason and was ranked the #2 WR by ESPN behind Jeremiah Smith (6-4, 222; projected 4.32 to 4.37 40-yard dash) from #1 The Ohio State.

The Canes will look for a 3-0 start and some solid September CFP footing, and Toney is solidly in the Heisman race with a pretty incredible start (16 receptions, 340 yards, 4 TD, 20.6 YPC).
