The Kiffin Bowl?: #8 LSU at #9 Ole Miss on Saturday

Vaught-Hemingway Stadium (Grass) in Oxford, Mississippi, is the site of this SEC showdown on Saturday night (ABC, 7:30 EDT/6:30 CDT/4:30 PDT) between #7 LSU (2-0, 0-0 on the road) and #8 Mississippi (2-0, 2-0 at Home), the two schools involved in last year’s Fear and Loathing in Oxford.

The drama? Then-Ole Miss HC Lane Kiffin was coveted by LSU to coach in Baton Rouge next year before the 2025 College Football Playoff (CFP) had ended, and he accepted before the team’s CFP game. The Rebels said bye-bye to Lane and left his fancy wardrobe in the street. (They didn’t).

So everything’s alright now, right? Yes. All perfect. Kiffin got paid, LSU hired a proxy and used Kalshi to insure against any bonuses the new HC may earn getting to and advancing in the CFP, the Tigers and Rebels are both ranked in the (AP) Top 10, and no one has lost a game. Yet. Here we go.

LSU has looked like one of the best teams after a massive portal haul and a new HC (Kiffin), QB, ASU transfer Sam Leavitt, and a group of new NIL WRs and DE Princewill Umanmielen, who left Oxford with Kiffin. DB Ty Benefield (BOISE) also transferred in, and the LSU D will be better now.

Ole Miss will obviously be energized by the fact it’s facing Kiffin after the way he left, and the Rebels returned two studs who will be playing in the NFL one day: QB Trinidad Chambliss and RB Kewan Lacy. Toss in the fact this game is at The Vaught, and you have must-watch NCAAF.

The Rebels also rebuilt under new HC Pete Golding, bringing in S’s Edwin Joseph (FSU) and Joenel Aguero (GA) and QB Deuce Knight (AUB) to back up Chambliss. And tit-for-tat, Ole Miss snagged LSU OT Carius Cane to bolster the OL in front of the talented QB who came back for another year.

NCAAF: LSU Tigers vs. Mississippi Rebels Preview

At Polymarket US, traders like visitors LSU Tigers (59%) over host Ole Miss (42%) in the Tigers vs. Rebels game-winner market. The Point Spread of LSU -3.5 was the closest to the 50-50 line (Yes 47¢, No 54¢), with the Total trading at 58.5 on September 16, anticipating a high-scoring game.

In the last 10 meetings between these two, LSU has gone 7-3 SU and 6-4-0 ATS, but Ole Miss won the last meeting, 24-19, in Oxford last season (MISS -2.5, 57.5). The Over is 5-4-1 in the Totals market in those H2H meetings, with the Under winning 4 of the last 5 meetings and the last 2.

LSU is the fourth tough foe Ole Miss will have played in five games (GA-MIA-LOU-CHAR-LSU), and the Rebels are an impressive 9-2 SU their last 11 and have played 3 straight Overs. LSU was just 4-6 SU in its last 10 into Week 2, losing 6 of 8 ATS despite getting the money in the Week 1 opener.

The AccuWeather forecast for Oxford at 7 p.m. EDT on Saturday, September 19 called for Partially Cloudy conditions, a temperature of 79°, 55% Humidity, and mild 7-8 mph Winds at Vaught-Hemingway. The temperature should be around 74° at 10 p.m., likely in the 4th Quarter

🚦Trading Thoughts: The Tigers looked great in their opener against Clemson, rolling to a 51-10 victory at LSU’s Death Valley in Week 1. This was a game between one program embracing the portal (ESPN ranked LSU #1) and another doing things the old-fashioned, Dabo Swinney way.

With versatile Leavitt at QB, new WRs Jayce Brown (KSU), Eugene Wilson III (FLA), Dre’ Brown III (ODU), and Winston Watkins (not the III but Jr.), the Tigers will score many points. Watkins played for Ole Miss last year and had 7 catches for 110 yards and 1 TD in his debut for LSU (15.7 YPC).

This game will be a great watch for many reasons, on and off the field. Despite both D’s being so good and this being an important conference game with heavy CFP implications, the talent on offense for both teams is mind-boggling; thus, the Total is near 60 points. LSU is the better team.

Why? Leavitt’s ability to scramble and run and pick up the key yards—and TDs; he had 2 in the opener vs. Clemson—on the ground, LSU should be able to score by land or by air. The crowd will help Ole Miss, and Chambliss is great, but the Tigers' D may be better than the Rebels' D is now.

🏈NCAAF Week 3 Saturday Pick: LSU - to win by 2.5 points, Yes 56¢

Where should you invest $100 right now?

Elon Musk just invented and patented this new AI technology…

And he's predicting it will launch a NEW industry that will grow more than 7 million percent in the coming years.

Even if he's only 10% right, that would still be enough to grow $100 into more than $700,000.

Robinhood Making More Money From PMs Now

The Information reported last week that the electronic trading platform Robinhood Markets is now making more money from prediction markets than it was from traditional stock trading.

The Menlo Park, California-based company previously known for retail stock trading made $156 million in revenue in Q2 from prediction markets—a relatively new Robinhood endeavor—$129 million in revenue from stock trading (equities) in Q2 2026, and $100 million in Crypto.

The launch of the new licensed Rothera exchange with Susquehanna International Group has helped Robinhood capture more profit from each trade. Robinhood’s bread and butter was stock trading, ETF’s, futures contracts, options, and index options before changing with the times.

Many have criticized the S&P 500 component and 13-year-old Robinhood (NASDAQ: HOOD) for letting exchange users meld investment and traditional trading funds with prediction markets (and Crypto). But PMs now make up more than 20% of all the company’s trading revenue.

Is this just an anomaly for CEO Vladimir Tenev and Robinhood? Sig Hansen and the boys on Deadliest Catch (DSC, 8 ET/PT, Fridays) know that when you are fishing, and the Opilio (Snow Crab) aren’t bringing in big numbers, but the Red King Crab are to the north, you cast nets in both.

“Autopen” Misbond Bad For Some, Good For Others

Proving once again what you hear and what was actually said was revisited on Thursday, September 10, while President Trump said “autopenned” and not “Autopen/Auto Pen” during his major address at the RNC Midterm Convention at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Mentions market traders bought ‘Yes’ on “Autopen/Auto Pen,” and the price raced to 99c as the lemmings (and probably some not-so-innocent bots) unthinkingly followed, before everyone involved realized that he didn’t say what they bought or thought he said. Have you ridden a rollercoaster today?

This misbond lets sharper Mentions markets traders buy the other side (‘No’) and try to make some easy money, as we’ve seen Twitter Glimmer Twins Locksy and PredictionMarketTrader do. This isn’t the first time that we have seen this (and reported on it), and it will not be the last.

What can be learned? Real humans paying close attention are good not only at spotting these misbonds in prediction markets and mentions markets during live events, but also at having the quickest feeds and the best technical equipment to hear the speaker in real time.

Kalshi to Offer up WTI Oil Perps in the Future?

Reliable sources report that prediction market Kalshi is preparing to file paperwork to seek regulatory approval from the now always-busy Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to offer trading on its platform of WTI Crude Oil perps in the not-so-distant future.

This would be the first regulated U.S. perpetual (perp) futures contract exchange tied to West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil. Trading in this perp contract would take place 5 days a week and run 24 hours a day.

Kalshi has recently introduced several other no-expiration-date “perps” markets on its platform, including Crypto.

#22 Houston at #13 Texas Tech on Friday Night

The Big 12 Conference sees a huge early season collision between #22 Houston (2-0, 0-0 Big 12) meeting #13 Texas Tech (1-1, 0-0 Big 12) at Galaxy Stadium (Hellas Matrix Helix)—a Spanish Renaissance architecture gem—in Lubbock, Texas on Friday night (FOX, 8 EDT/7 CDT/5 PDT).

At Polymarket US in the Houston vs. Texas Tech game-winner (moneyline in sports betting) market, Texas Tech was trading at 74% with Houston at 27% on September 14 in mid-week NCAAF trading, with the Point Spread at Texas Tech -7.5 and the Total (Points) sitting at 52.5.

In Week 2, QB Will Hammond and TT beat Oregon State after a Week 1 vs. patsy Abilene Christian (33-10), while RB Makhi Hughes and Houston knocked off patsies Southern in Week 2 after defeating that same Beavers team (33-20) in the Cougars home opener in Week 1.

🚦Trading Thoughts: QB Conner Wegman and Houston deserve to be ranked in the Top 25, with WRs like Amare Thomas and Patrick Overmyer giving this underrated school a chance to make some noise this NCAAF season, and maybe even make the 2026 CFP. Meow? A cat can dream.

RBs Hughes and Re’Shaun Sanford II give Houston a decent rushing attack, so the big question may be how good the D is. It will be challenged here, as in 8 lifetime meetings, Texas Tech is 7-1-0 SU/ATS vs Houston and has gotten the money the last 7 consecutive meetings (2010-2025).

The Under is surprisingly a profitable 6-2-0 in those 8 H2H meetings, winning 3 of the last 4. Both schools joined the Big 12 but at different times, with Texas Tech merging with other Southwest Conference teams into the league in 1996 and Houston (C-USA, The American) joining in 2023.

The Red Raiders have been great ATS vs. Houston, but this very expensive college football team with whale boosters is an impressive 8-2 SU in its last 10 and 7-3-0 ATS, but lost 2 straight against the betting number heading into a Week 2 mismatch with Pac-12 OG’s Oregon State.

The Under is 7-3-0 in the last 10 TT games—4 straight into Week 2—and combined with that 6-2-0 Under lifetime series record, it’s hard to think Over. The ☀︎AccuWeather—Lubbock, TX forecast called for Partially Cloudy skies with game-time temperatures of 88°F and 10-12 mph Winds.

🏈NCAAF Week 3 Saturday Pick: Texas Tech to win by 7.5 points, No 51¢

#3 ND Welcomes MSU to South Bend on Saturday

QB and Heisman Trophy candidate C.J. Carr and #3 Notre Dame (2-0) will face RB Cam Edwards and Big Ten Conference school Michigan State (2-0) at Notre Dame Stadium (Artificial Turf) in South Bend, Indiana on Saturday evening (7:30 EDT/6:30 CDT/5:30 PDT).

The Fighting Irish handily defeated Wisconsin in its Week 1 opener (41-13) at The House That Rockne Built before boiling Rice in Week 2 (52-0), as TD Jesus again watched on as leprechauns danced as the hottest summer ever starts to fade into a fall full of god loudly only knows what.

At Polymarket US, NCAAF Division I Independent Notre Dame (97%) is the heavy choice in the Michigan State vs. Notre Dame exchange, with QB Alessio Milivojevic (St Francis HS, Wheaton, IL), RB Marvis Parrish, and MSU (4%) as the big underdogs.

🚦Trading Thoughts: The Fighting Irish lost two great RBs (Love—AZ, Price—SEA), a WR (Fields—NYG), and a TE (Raridon—NE) in the 2026 NFL Draft, but because ND was shut out of the 2025 CFP, sentiment (and now truth) is that if it makes the top 12 ranked teams, it is in the CFP.

To me, this market is vastly mispriced and may be a good opportunity on a few fronts. The Point Spread of ND -29.5 shows how much oddsmakers feel about the Fighting Irish, as does the 4% (on MSU) we see in prediction markets. The young Spartans can upset ND here. Getting 29.5 is nuts?

With Carr, the Fighting Irish have a chance at greatness. In the last 10 series meetings, ND is 6-4 SU and 4-5-1 ATS with the Over 6-4-0 and cashing the last 2 meetings after 3 consecutive Unders. In their last 10, Sparty was 2-8-0 SU but 8-2-0 ATS, winning 3 straight vs. the betting number.

Notre Dame’s biggest win vs. MSU in the last 10 was by 20 points (38-18, ND -3) in the meeting last year at East Lansing, where the Fighting Irish led 28-7 at half but were outgained by the Spartans, with 2 MSU fumbles helping ND rush to the easy win. This year might be harder.

🏈NCAAF Week 3 Saturday Picks: Notre Dame to win by 29.5 points, No 53¢, MSU, Yes 4¢

Atlético at Real Madrid in La Liga Derby on Sunday

There’s a Madrid Derby (El Derbi Madrileño) on tap this weekend in Spain’s La Liga with Real Madrid (3-1-1) playing host to Atlético Madrid (5-0 -1) at Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium (Grass) in Madrid, Spain on Sunday (ESPN Deportes, ESPN+, 10:15 EDT/9:15 CDT/7:15 PDT).

Los Rojiblancos have given up an unusually high number of goals so far (1.5 GPG) and have a weak Save Percentage (62%), so expect Atleti GK Jon Oblak (10 SAVES, 6 GA) to be peppered by the talented and expensive Los Blancos roster with scorers like Kylian Mbappé (4 goals) and Vini Jr.

At Polymarket US, veteran GK Thibaut Courtois and Real Madrid (55%) are big favorites to beat Koke, Julián Álvarez, Álex Baena (3 goals), and Atlético Madrid (23%), with a Draw trading at 24%.

🚦Trading Thoughts: Jude Bellingham (2 goals) showed just how elite he his for England in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, so now leading Real Madrid through the dangerous rapids of La Liga, UEFA Champions League, and Spanish Cup is the next task at hand for the young (23 years old) AMF.

Looking at the last 5 meetings in this series, we see RM with a slight 3-0-2 (W-D-L) edge in relatively high-scoring games (RM 3-2, RM 2-1, AM 5-2, AM 1-0, RM 2-1), averaging 3.8 GPG. The two 2025-26 La Liga games saw 12 goals. The Both Teams To Score (BTTS) ‘Yes’ is 4-1 in that span.

Real Madrid has an Average Expected Goal Differential of +2.1 and will look to improve under new (and old) manager José Mourinho. With new defensive toys Marc Cucurella (CFC), Ibrahima Konaté (LIV), and Denzel Dumfries (INTER), RM will improve, but it has to be where it plays.

⚽2026 La Liga Matchweek 5 Picks: Real Madrid, Yes, 55¢, Over 3.5 goals, Yes, 45¢, Both Teams To Score, Yes, 67¢

Colts at Mahomes, KC on Sunday Night Football

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs (1-0) play host Daniel “Indy” Jones and the Indianapolis Colts (0-1) at Arrowhead Stadium (NorthBridge Bermuda Grass) in Kansas City, Missouri, on Sunday night for a Week 2 AFC showdown (ABC, ESPN, 8:20 ET/7:20 CT/5:20 PT).

The Chiefs were at AFC West rivals Denver in Week 1, where KC manhandled the Broncos as Mahomes looked like the rehab worked and new RB Kenneth Walker III ran wild on MNF. Vet RB Travis Henry rushed all over the Colts in Naptown in Week 1 in a 41-23 victory on the road.

In the Indianapolis Colts vs. Kansas City Chiefs market at Kalshi, Kansas City (72%) was the choice of NFL bettors with RB JonathanTaylor and Indianapolis (28%) the underdogs. At DraftKings, the Chiefs are 6.5-point favorites (KC -325, IND +260) with the Total at 46.5.

🚦Trading Thoughts: The Colts have surprisingly gone 8-2 SU (Straight Up) the last 10 series meetings, and 8-2-0 ATS (Against The Spread) vs. Andy Reid and the mighty Chiefs who somehow make it to AFC Championship Games while Indianapolis doesn’t and perpetually rebuilds.

The Under has also been a good money-maker for Totals bettors, going 9-1-0 those last 10 and winning the last 4 straight at Arrowhead Stadium (33-30-44-44 points). In the last meeting, the Chiefs won 23-20 at Arrowhead, and the game went Under (49.5) even after overtime (OT).

Mahomes spent all offseason healing, but he and TE Travis Kelce are simply old now. And Kelce is married, so he has more on his mind than sore muscles and the Chiefs' opponent. Can Indy pull off the upset here? Sure. And the overpowering Trends suggest backing the SNF Under.

🏈NFL Week 2 Sunday Night Football Totals Pick: Chiefs-Colts Over 47.5, No 55¢

Giants at Rams on Monday Night Football Week 2

The team oddsmakers and prediction market traders chose to win the NFL, the Los Angeles Rams (0-1) welcome the New York Giants (1-0) to SoFi Stadium (Bermuda Grass) in Inglewood, CA, on Monday night for the last game on the Week 2 slate (ABC, ESPN, 8:15 ET/7:15 CT/5:15 PT).

In Week 1, the Rams faced the 49ers in Melbourne, Australia, so expect LA to be a bit tired from two long flights and the jet lag that comes with Time Travel. Australia is currently in 2029. The Giants played in the Western Hemisphere in 2026 and have no jet lag. But they are the Giants.

At Kalshi, in the New York Giants vs. Los Angeles Rams home opener for the Rams, Los Angeles (73%) was the NFL traders’ choice, with Jaxson Dart and visiting New York (27%) the underdogs. At DraftKings, the Rams were 8.5-point chalks (Moneyline -485, NYG +370) with the Total at 47.5.

🚦Trading Thoughts: Looking at this series, we see that the Rams have won the last 4 meetings after losing the previous 4, but the surprising thing is that the Giants are 6-2-0 ATS in the series. The Over is a profitable 5-2-1, and 3-1 in the last 4 meetings, but the last 2 in Lalaland went Under.

In the last 10 Giants games heading into the new season, the Over was 8-2-0, and the Rams also sported an 8-2-0 Over mark in their last 10 heading into their Australian game. To get money, the best approach here is the Totals market. Dart and Rams QB Matt Stafford like to throw the ball.

Stafford led the NFL in Passing Yards in 2025 (4,707) and the LA QB has great targets in WRs Puka Nacua and Davante Adams and TEs Coby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee. RB Kyren Williams (1,252 Rushing Yards, 10 TDs) sometimes gets forgotten about by everyone. That’s a good thing for him.
